Terms of Use

These Terms set the rules for using UK Scam — its dossiers, investigations, reports, Research Membership, the Tracer research system, databases, search and related services. Using the site means you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.

Effective 5 November 2026Last updated 5 November 2026v1.0

1. Nature of UK Scam

UK Scam is an independent evidence, investigative research and publishing platform. It collects, reviews, verifies and publishes information concerning matters of legitimate public interest, including litigation, regulatory proceedings, financial misconduct, corporate activity and other documented legal or investigative matters.

UK Scam is not a court, law-enforcement agency, prosecutor or regulatory authority. Unless expressly stated otherwise, publication on UK Scam does not constitute a judicial or governmental determination of wrongdoing.

2. Allegations and Findings

UK Scam distinguishes between allegations, pending proceedings, regulatory actions, civil findings, criminal convictions and other evidentiary statuses.

The existence of a dossier, report, investigation or entry concerning a person or organisation does not, by itself, establish criminal guilt, civil liability or unlawful conduct.

Persons are presumed innocent of criminal allegations unless and until guilt has been established by a competent court according to applicable law.

3. Evidence and Sources

Published material may rely upon court records, government records, regulatory documents, corporate registries, public records, verified submissions, investigative research, lawful open-source intelligence and other sources considered relevant to the matter.

UK Scam applies its Evidence Standards, Editorial Standards and Source & Verification Policy when assessing material for publication.

No source should be interpreted beyond what that source reasonably establishes.

4. Right of Reply

Individuals and organisations materially identified in our reporting may submit responses, corrections and supporting evidence.

A response does not guarantee amendment or removal. Material changes are made where the evidence justifies them.

UK Scam does not charge any person for exercising a legitimate right of reply or requesting correction of a factual error.

5. No Paid Removal or Suppression

UK Scam does not accept payment, gifts, benefits or other consideration from a subject in exchange for removing, suppressing, delaying, concealing or materially altering accurate evidence-based reporting.

Research Membership, professional services or any other commercial relationship does not provide editorial influence.

Payment does not determine what UK Scam publishes or removes.

6. Corrections and Updates

Where credible evidence establishes that published information is materially inaccurate, incomplete in a manner that creates a misleading impression, or has been superseded by a material legal development, UK Scam may correct or update the relevant record.

Corrections and material updates may be timestamped, versioned or otherwise documented in accordance with the Corrections Policy.

7. User Submissions

Users may submit documents, information, tips and other evidence to UK Scam.

By submitting material, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge, you are legally permitted to provide it and have not knowingly fabricated, manipulated or materially misrepresented the submission.

Submission does not guarantee investigation or publication.

UK Scam reserves editorial discretion over whether and how submitted information is investigated or used.

8. Prohibited Submissions

You must not knowingly use UK Scam to submit fabricated evidence, forged documents, maliciously altered material, unlawful threats, material obtained through unauthorised computer access, or information submitted solely to harass, intimidate or unlawfully harm another person.

UK Scam may reject submissions, restrict accounts or refer matters to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

9. Research Membership

Research Membership provides access to designated professional research features and services according to the applicable membership plan.

Membership does not purchase editorial coverage, an investigation, a favourable finding, removal of an existing record or any particular investigative outcome.

Access may be suspended or terminated for misuse, unlawful activity, attempts to compromise investigations or material violations of these Terms.

10. Tracer

Tracer may contain information not available through the public-facing UK Scam website.

Access may be restricted to approved users and may require identity, professional-purpose or institutional verification.

Tracer output must not be interpreted as an automated determination of guilt, liability, creditworthiness, suitability, risk or legal status.

Users remain responsible for independently assessing information before relying upon it for legal, regulatory, investigative or commercial decisions.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, UK Scam's original editorial content, research structures, database organisation, visual design, proprietary classifications and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Public records and third-party materials remain subject to their respective legal status and ownership.

13. Acceptable Use

Users must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted systems, circumvent security controls, scrape restricted databases contrary to applicable access conditions, interfere with platform operation, impersonate another person or misuse UK Scam information for unlawful harassment or threats.

Access may be restricted where misuse is detected.

14. Third-Party Sources

UK Scam may cite or link to courts, regulators, government agencies, registries, news organisations and other independent sources.

UK Scam does not control those third-party systems and is not responsible for subsequent changes to, or availability of, third-party content.

15. Limitation of Reliance

UK Scam seeks to maintain accurate and appropriately sourced records, but investigations and legal proceedings evolve.

Users should review the underlying sources, publication date, evidence grade, subsequent proceedings and current official records before making consequential decisions.

UK Scam should not be treated as a substitute for independent legal, investigative, regulatory or professional due diligence.

16. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information processed through UK Scam is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, relevant privacy and data-protection requirements.

Additional restrictions may apply to confidential submissions, restricted research data and Tracer accounts.

17. Suspension and Termination

UK Scam may suspend or terminate access to membership or restricted systems where reasonably necessary to protect security, sources, investigations, third parties or the integrity of the platform, or where these Terms have been materially breached.

18. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in UK Scam's operations, services or applicable legal requirements.

The effective version will be identified by the date displayed at the top of this page.

19. Contact

Questions concerning these Terms may be submitted through the UK Scam Contact page.

Formal legal notices should be clearly identified as legal correspondence and directed through the contact method designated for legal notices. On the Contact page, choose “Legal Notice” as the nature of enquiry.

UK Scam reserves its editorial independence at all times. No membership, payment, commercial relationship or external pressure confers a right to dictate an investigative or editorial outcome.

20. Operator and Governing Law

This website is operated by UK Scam (ukscam.com). Formal and legal notices should be sent to legal@ukscam.com.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory law where you live gives you a different right (for example, a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts).

Formal legal notices may be sent to legal@ukscam.com or by post to the registered address above.
